DynastyMattress Therapeutic Deluxe 10″ Memory Foam Mattress Review

There are so many things that people take into consideration when purchasing a mattress or a new bed. It can be very confusing when you stop and think about all of your different options available these days. From the old style box spring and mattress, which by the way have come a long way in the last 20 years or so, to a gel filled six-inch thick mattress that has the feel of a waterbed only slower. From sleep number to adjustable s there seems to be ever more newer and better options coming down the pike all the time. One of the newer mattresses on the market over the last ten or so years is the memory foam mattress. That is where the DynastyMattress Therapeutic Deluxe 10″ Memory Foam Mattress comes in. This type of mattress uses a space age foam material that conforms to the body and eliminates pressure points. Not only does it give you the feel of floating on the clouds so to speak , it has the ability to bounce back into shape very quickly and I think one of the great selling points of this bed is that for couples, it’s very hard to feel when one or the other gets outta the bed. This feature alone has sold thousands of this type of mattress.

So, let’s take a look at the Dynasty Mattress, Therapeutic Deluxe Memory Foam 10”with cool airflow HD Memory Foam Mattress with High Quality Visco-Elastic Memory Foam, included is a free Memory Foam Pillow. This Mattress starts with a 7′ high resilience polyurethane base with a 3′ memory foam top. This Mattress was built to last and for those of you who like a firmer type of mattress this one is for you. It also come with a removable cover for easy washing for those that like to have a little more control of those pesky odors.

Now to even complicate what we thought was just a Memory foam mattress, we have to muddy it up a bit with everything from how the foam is made to how these mattresses together. Start with how they are made. There are two basic types of foam and they are, closed cell and open cell. Moreover, of course there are two components by which foam is measured, and they are Density and Softness. As it related to the open cell versus closed cell debate, I can find no real information about which type of foam the Dynasty uses.  When it comes to Density and softness now that seems to be a very real debate not only among manufacturers but with customers alike. Density is merely the actual weight of the foam and is measured in pounds. This DynastyMattress Therapeutic Deluxe 10″ Memory Foam Mattress weighs in at 5.3 lbs Now there is a long and drawn out formula for determining the weight of foam but for all practical purposes really does not have to much to do how effective, how soft or hard, of for that matter how durably a mattress is.  When it comes to softness, however that’s a horse of a different color there. Softness is measured by IFD (indentation force deflection) and the higher the number IFD the firmer the mattress regardless of the density. I could not find any information as to the IFD of the Dynasty foam mattress. What I would consider just as important is what is on top and beneath the memory foam. I would like to note however, that odor control seems to be a topic of concern and logic would suggest that the open cell type of foam would tend to hang onto odors longer than closed. However, from a consumer stand point I should think that the top cover would be just as important when it comes to odor. There seemed to be quite a few reports of an odor that lasted for anywhere from 24 hours to a few days with this Mattress, but most agreed that if was not too offensive.

I took the time and read most of the reviews and I think that almost everyone was pretty pleased with their purchase of this mattress, however a couple of things I found to be a bit different and out of the ordinary, it seem that the inflation rate for this one was anywhere from an hour to up to 72 hours. I can only assume that it had to do with the room temp but there is no way to confirm it. The other thing is that almost all of the reviewers made the same comment about the odor and even though in all of these cases it seemed to go away after a few days. It begs the question as to just why the companies that sell these mattresses or the people and companies who produce them can’t seem to figure out just how to get rid of that darn smell.

When it comes to construction of the complete memory foam mattress most companies start with a High Density Foam base. This DynastyMattress Therapeutic Deluxe 10″ Memory Foam Mattress, memory foam topped with a removable cover. It is the combination of layers together that determine the overall firmness of the mattress and its durability. When it comes to odor control, I feel that with the use of odor infusion materials if there are odor issues then it is most likely in the cover materials. One of the other topics that seems to come up now and again is temperature control both in the bed when sleeping and the room temperature’s effect on the mattress itself. First, I would begin by saying that most bedrooms are kept well within the temperature ranges of virtually all mattresses so not an issue worth spending time on. As for the effects of a person’s body temperature on a memory foam mattress, I would still think that it would be more about the cover and the bed clothes used. Of all the reviews, I could find on this mattress the temperature problem did not seem to be an issue

Based on the reviews I have read. And a little price comparison, I would put this mattress in the middle somewhere and on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 5 mainly because most people would find it a bit firm for their liking.
